Antelope Tables
The Amphitheater Stairs in the Square offices were designed to host an occasional all hands, but when not filled with an audience, we wanted a way to encourage people to use the stairs. Imagining a person working on the edge of a staircase, I thought about a table with uneven legs that could be on two levels at once.
From there, it was a simple decision to make them dainty white squares. The two different leg lengths reminded me of a leaping animal and I went around calling them antelope tables to my colleagues.
