Green Beanbag

It was a temporary parklet, only in place for eight hours, I didn’t want to try and imitate a park. This big soft cushion — filled with offcut foam scraps bought cheap from a local upholsterer — had a lot of curb appeal, and it was playful in an unexpected way that encouraged people to be playful too. A businessman in a suit can and lay down on his lunch break. A local gallerist came by to talk with her client. A kid did a running jump and almost bounced into traffic.

Later on, the bag was given away on craigslist. Somebody took it to Burning Man.
